Yesterday a customer at the Northcote store suggested I check out Dark Dark Dark, and now I'm hooked. Hope you enjoy it too.

I have also been playing My Brightest Diamond on repeat in the store, this song is amazing and such a cool video to go with it too!

Markit

dot&eve will be at Markit in just under two weeks! We will be selling loads of cute and kitch ceramic ornaments, salt and pepper shakers, vases and much more, hope to see you there!

Jack Carty

If you have ever set foot in our Northcote store, it's quite likely that you have heard the sweet sounds of Jack Carty in the background. To celebrate the launch of his new album at the Northcote Social Club tomorrow night, Jack will be playing an acoustic set IN STORE AT DOROTHY&EVELYN NORTHCOTE! tomorrow at 1pm!

If you can't make it tomorrow day, Jack is playing in the evening at the Northcote Social club - doors open at 8pm - you can buy tickets here or buy his new album 'Break Your Own Heart' on iTunes here!

Staff Profile: Rosa!

A little about Rosa:Melbourne is and has been my home for a very long time! Although, I have managed to do a fair bit of traveling in my time! I worked and lived in London for 2 years and backpacked around Europe for 6 months with one of my closest friends, an adventure I will never forget!! I come from a big family, 5 children who I spend a lot of time with and have a lovely group of special friends who I've grown up with and adore!! Nothing gets me through the winter better than a good book or a trip to the movies, foreign films are my favourite!! Right now I'm totally addicted to and cannot get enough of the sounds of Matt Corby! Oh and Gotye! Their voices are incredible and always lift my spirits!

What do you love most about working at dorothy&evelyn?
 I love that Dorothy and Evelyn is a unique little store, that brings tranquility to the hustle and bustle of the street it lives on. It's filled with quirky gifts, fun things to wear and beautiful accessorize for your home!

How long have you worked at d&e?
It's been a fun, fast almost 3 months working at Dorothy and Evelyn.

Fave product in store?
 I am in love with the Earthlust stainless steel drinking bottle. I hate drinking water but out of that cute bottle it makes it far more interesting!!

Staff profile... Liz!

Growing up surrounded by boys gave me an incentive to be as girly as possible, thus I have found my calling in designing textiles. I like to print onto anything that can be printed onto and this makes going to uni a joy. Being Melbourne born and bread I have become addicted to travelling outside of Australia, although having said that I find one of the greatest things about travelling abroad is coming home. I love documentaries by Louis Theroux, I think he is a genius and i love the weird and sometimes scary places he travels to, its like hes answering all the questions i never realised i wanted to ask.  I also like rap/R&B music and one day would like to meet Tyler the Creator.
 

What do you love about working at dorothy&evelyn?

Even before I started working at D&E I used to love coming into the stores just because everyone was so 

friendly and helpful. The stores are extremly peacful and I like how it is the best place in the world to 

buy presents from; There is a lil sommin sommin for everybody!  

How long have you worked at dorothy&evelyn?

Only one month, I'm a mega newbie.  

What's your fave product in the store right now?

I love the pigeonhole jewelry; I brought a pigeonhole necklace about a year ago and it is my favourite 

thing I own, period. I also love the cards.
